Jaime and Alex
It’s been another week already!! I only have two weeks left! A lot has happened this week but this will still be a short email. I didn’t have enough time to write today. It’s been a pretty busy day. I went to Pizza Pie Cafe for lunch today with my family. I saw some of the people that I used to work with and that was fun.
Spiritual:
-I did two TRCs in Spanish this week. It was really cool. Hermana Stewart and I taught a guy called “Octavio.” He was really nice and sweet. He tried to say things with words that we would understand, so we weren’t totally lostππ. We taught him about Heavenly Father’s love for him, about prayer, prophets, and the Book of Mormon. We challenged him to pray and to start reading the Book of Mormon. It was really cool to see those phrases and the Spanish that I knew would come to me when I needed it. We were able to answer some questions that he asked that we didn’t prepare for. My teacher Hermano Mansfield gave us some scriptures about the gift of tongues. (Work diligently for it-2 Nephi 25:23, Believe it- D&C 90:11, Be worthy of it- D&C 46:9 & 33, Seek it- D&C 46: 30-32, Love the people- 1 Corinthians 14:12) They’re really good scriptures. They can be related to receiving any gift of the spirit.
-I am seeing the Lord bless my efforts because I am being strictly obedient. Getting up early and exercising aren’t things that I like, but I am still doing them. My studies and what I’m learning is sticking better. I am also seeing gifts in my life and I’m more happy. I want to help others, serve, and learn as much as I can. I am also more grateful for things in my life. My parents have sacrificed a lot for me, and I am so thankful for the things that they’ve done for me. My family has been such a great support to me. Love you guys!! <3
Funny:
-I got out of a one-on-one with Hermano Mansfield and everyone in my districts’ screen was upside downπ. It was super funny because Hermano Mansfield and I were so confused. So, we both flipped our screen 180 degrees and then I took a picture of it.
-When I was doing companion study with Hermana Stewart our screens froze and wouldn't turn back. On my screen she had her tongue sticking outπ. She said on her screen that I looked like a scientist contemplating and thinking about something while pointing at a board.
-I have a spider in my room. I took a picture of it and cut my finger while doing that. That was pretty funny. Everytime that I remember to kill it, I am in class. So, it is now my pet spider.π I named it Aragog (if you get that name I will be so happy!). Now I’m not going to kill it and every time I see it, I laugh.π
