2019- Where did it go???

Wow, what a slacker I have been.  I can't believe it has been so long since I have blogged.  I will just do a quick recap on 2019 and make it a goal of mine to do better at blogging next year.

Adam and modern technology.  Boy does he look old.

Jan 2019

Jaime and I enjoyed a girl's night out shopping.  We found these silly hats and enjoyed all the silly looks we got wearing them around the store.  We actually bought matching Santa hats with elf ears and wore them around the rest of the night.  The looks we got were priceless!!

The reason we have kids...  Free labor!!!!
Ethan shoveling the snow.
At times like this we don't appreciate having a large driveway.

April 13, 2019

We have yet another teenager and phone user.  Adam was so happy with his birthday present.  On a side note, he has learned water is not a phone's best friend and had to use all his hard earned money to pay to fix it this month.

We joined Mike for a spring work trip to Idaho Falls.  Then we went to check out Rexburg, Idaho for Jaime.  She plans to attend there this fall.

Jaime took an art class in school and did this portrait of our cat.  She used a scalpel like tool to scrape the black coating off to reveal her masterpiece.

Ethan and his art projects.

Adam not to thrilled to have to clean and organize the game closet.

Jaime's senior pictures.  My sister-in-law took them in my friend's yard.

Ethan surprised us by pitching this year.  We had no idea he even knew how.  Mike and I were both shocked at how well he did.  We are very proud of him for this new talent.

The boys have been enjoying going to the bird refuge (Ogden Bay) to go fishing.

gross!!  Adam even caught a snake.

July 29- Aug 3

Jaime, my sister Deborah, my daughter-in-law Kelsie, and I went on a once in a lifetime trip to New York City.  We saw the musical Wicked and had a blast seeing all the sites.

Funny story- when we were in Battery Park we decided to get a caricature done.  We drew a crowd and had a bunch of people watching us get our pictures drawn.  People were actually taking pictures of us getting our pictures drawn.  We all laughed when we saw the final product.  We look like quadruplet, Hispanic sisters.  Even though the picture doesn't look anything like us, it made for a great experience and funny story.  Who knows where the pictures of us will end up- maybe on some one's blog??

Someone put this snake on Jaime while we were on Brooklyn Bridge.  It cost me $10 but was well worth it.

Jaime and I sporting our new jammies from New York.

I didn't get much rest from my trip to New York and then I was off to Martin's Cove for trek.  I was on support staff and had to help set up tents.  Adam had a blast.  I enjoyed being there as well.  I am so thankful for the pioneers and all the sacrifices they made for me and my family.

Aug 6-9

August 12-17
fun camping up Logan Canyon

We had fun at Hyrum Dam.  The boy enjoyed playing in the clay and getting dirty.

Adam found a snake in our campsite.  Yikes!!!

Poor Adam had a bike accident.  Thank goodness for doctor Mom.

The boys had fun fishing at 1st Dam.  They both caught trout that they cooked on the fire for dinner.

The trips continue.  Mike worked in Vancouver BC, Canada.  I was thrilled to tag along with him.  We enjoyed seeing the sites.  Poor Mike had to work and I vegged at the hotel while he worked.
